Frequently Asked Questions
Which states and requirements does the app track?
Land Surveyor PDH Tracker covers 54 US jurisdictions — all 50 states plus Washington, DC, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. For each one it tracks the Professional Land Surveyor continuing-education (CE) / professional development hour (PDH) requirements: the PDH totals, cycle length, category mandates (such as ethics, standards of practice, and rules of professional conduct), carryover rules, and caps. You log an activity once, and the app evaluates it against every state you are licensed in.
I also hold a PE license — does the app handle that?
In part. If you turn on the "I also hold a PE license" setting, the app applies the higher combined PDH requirement in the states that set one for licensees who hold both a Professional Engineer (PE) and a Land Surveyor license. Note that the app models the Land Surveyor requirements; it does not track continuing education for standalone Professional Engineers who are not also licensed surveyors.
Does the app report or submit my compliance?
No. Land Surveyor PDH Tracker is a personal tracking tool. It does not submit, attest, or report your compliance status to any state board on your behalf. You must complete all renewal, attestation, and filing processes directly with the relevant board.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored locally on your device. You can optionally enable iCloud sync to keep it in step across your own devices. We do not operate servers that receive or store your activity data, notes, or attachments. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes its data from the device.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone: go to Settings > tap your name (Apple ID) > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. For refund requests, contact Apple Support directly.
Can I export my records?
Yes. The app generates PDF reports — a per-state report, a combined multi-state report, and an NCEES CPC-format (Continuing Professional Competency) activity log — for your personal records or for board review. You can share them via email, AirDrop, or save to Files.
I found a bug or have a feature suggestion.
